Thursday, May 4: National Day of Prayer...I hope that you are participating in this day's activities. And, the great thing is you don't have to go somewhere to participate if you prefer not to. We can pray wherever we are. Our state is having its prayer services on the grounds of the State Capitol but I won't be attending; however, I will be praying all day somewhere. We need to remember that there is power in prayer and our nation is in dire need of God's guidance. Billy Graham is encouraging us to remember all of our local, state, national and, yes, world leaders. I don't know about you, but I have special people in my life that I will be lifting in prayer, people who are facing health issues, family issues, and decision-making issues. I believe that God does answer prayer, that "no" can be an answer, and that no answer at the time is fine if my timing is not in keeping with the timing of Christ. Sometimes, I feel like I don't know what to pray for and need to just ask God to teach me to pray, to reveal to me what I should pray for; and, in all things, I need to ask that God's Will be done.
I am so thankful that I live in a country that allows me to express my beliefs and I thank God everyday for America. Thank you, Lord, for the Power of Prayer.
