Relay Day has finally arrived and I'm busy as a beaver trying to get all the last minute things done so that we can get to the track. Let's see, do I have everything now? Flashlight, luminaria lighter, jacket, sleeping bag (in case we decide to take a nap), cap, sunglasses, lawn chair, cash box, raffle tickets, cookies and candy to sell, and, of course, money for food. I wonder what I have forgotten. Whatever, I plan to have a great time for the next 20 + hours! I tried to sleep in awhile this morning so that I could stay awake. There will be entertainment going on all night long so it will be somewhat noisy anyway, I imagine. The main thing is that I hope we reach our town's goal of $200,000 + and the result will be a cure for cancer!
God bless all the survivors and remember the families of those who lost their battle with the disease. Stay well, everyone, and stay tuned for our results.
Boots, I hope your community reached that goal. You sound like such a wonderful woman and you're so active! You blog is so beautiful and neat! You inspire me to get going. Bet you had a blast and everybody felt better having you with them! God bless you. You're a real Lady and you might not like my blog.
