"Stick-to-it-ness"

I have one additional thing to say about my previous blog that occurred Friday night. If you will pull up the comment, you will have to agree with me that preachers always have to have the last word (heeheehee). They have the best answers for everything and that's the truth; they really do. Our preacher certainly lets no rust gather on his sharp wit and wisdom!

My friend and I had a great Children's Church session this morning (thanks, Rob). We only had 4 children present, but precious they were. The youngest one had "sticky" candy from a lollipop all over her. When I told her how sticky she was, she said, "I'm always sticky." I thought, I hope you are not so sticky that we can't get you out of that chair or your hands off the table. I've heard of candy-coated ants and other inedibles as far as I'm concerned, but this child was the biggest inedible sugar-coated cutie I've ever seen!

The children were very interested in the story of Jesus' birth, how God wanted His Son to become the Savior of all people. The world needed a Savior 2,000 years ago and they also need one just as badly now. How can we possibly let those in the minority continue to remove all things Christian from our daily lives? I don't understand and neither would these little children who are so excited about the season. Thank God for young believers. Let us make sure His Word "sticks" to us just as that sugar did to Emily this morning.
