A Fair Day for a Fair

Today was our annual town Street Fair and the Baptist Women of our church sponsored a booth with many different crafts that the ladies made. Now, I am not a craftsy person at all, but I must tell you that we have several members who really are quite talented! Mary made wreaths and swags; Valinda made beautiful lighted Christmas decorations; Sylvia made aprons, push toy ducks for little children, and purses; Millie made little children's purses; Reda made aprons ; Pat made red boas and jewelry boxes; and several of us made the cookie mix jars. Then we had baked goods to sell also. We were pleased that we made a total of $853. 10! That will be used to assist us with local missions. The weather was great for the Fair. Now, I'm a bit tired due to the long day (but it was worth it).
Tomorrow, we get ready for Halloween by having a "spooky" Hayride through a wooded area, "trick or trunk", then a hotdog dinner for the children and the grownup children as well. I must say that my diet has gone by the wayside! In fact, I may as well forget the idea until after the holiday season, BUT, the big problem is that my clothes are not growing with me! And I refuse to buy bigger ones. Okay, Monday, I will get serious!! I will get serious!...I will get...I will... (Does anyone want my leftover Halloween candy? I know there will be too much of a good thing!)
