A Stitch in Time

Well, this is my very first blog and I really don't know what I am doing other than keeping my mind busy! My body has been quite busy today also in that I am trying...I said, TRYING... to lose weight! However, this is very difficult for a 66-year-old who has a heart condition, loves to eat great-tasting food, and would much rather be just a plain couch potato.
The good news is that I have begun walking every day, to the tune of 2-3 miles, not all at once, mind you, but during the course of a day. During one of my "breaks" today, my 2 sweet grandchildren, Clay and Livvy, came running in the house and told me they had seen a "copper snake"! Being quite fearful of any kind of snake (even rubber ones), I was appalled. After they left, I still had another half mile to walk to make my 3 miles' journey. Talk about making that walk quickly, I definitely made a "stitch in time"!! (I also made a "stitch in my side!!!)
