Sad Tears...Happy Tears

Where is everyone today? Only 2 of you have hit my blog so far. I hope that you are not reading because you are too busy celebrating the Easter season. I have had a marvelous day celebrating with my dear family at home and with my church family, too! We began the day with an early breakfast at church and, as usual, that was wonderful fellowship! At Sunday School, a dear friend shared the Easter story in a different but entertaining way...thanks, Fran! During the morning worship service, our pastor presented the message again in another interesting way... Thanks, Mr. N. It's difficult to think of the Easter story and not shed tears of sadness; yet, we should shed tears of gladness too because without the events that took place so many, many years ago, there would be nothing over which to be glad. My sad tears are shed because Jesus suffered so horrendously for you and me and I KNOW that I am unworthy of such love; and then, my glad tears are shed because Jesus does love you and me so much that He willingly gave His life for you and me. What a sacrifice! Are we worth it? NOooooo! Yet, all I have to do is believe Jesus is the Son of God, that He did die for me, that He arose from the dead less than 2000 years ago, that He went to prepare a place for me, and He will receive me into His Kingdom. What a promise!! I say "YES" to Jesus. Sad tears...Happy tears...Sad remembrance...Happy promises! Wow!
