9 Days Later
Nine days later and I'm back at home. Don't ask me for how long because I really can't tell you. It will be up to Don and I figure it won't be more than 4 weeks before he will be ready to go again. We are having a reunion next Sunday so I know we will be around until after that. After arriving home and seeing the way our grass has grown, I know that he won't be ready to go for awhile. Plus, I believe there are some other things he will want to take care of. Oh yes, I forgot; I have to attend a four-week diabetes education seminar beginning Tuesday morning. I doubt that we will leave until that is completed (although Don could decide to take some short trip leaving on Wednesday and returning on Monday). I will just have to keep you informed.
I hope all of you had a wonderful and safe Labor Day. Ours was fine. We spent the time in the North Carolina mountains and attended the BBQ Rally sponsored by the RV dealer for all of his current customers. Music was provided Thursday through Saturday nights, along with a bonfire each night. On Saturday, the day was planned with children in mind. There were hay rides, games, clowns, magicians, mechanical bull rides, a ventriloquist, and much more. Breakfast was provided on Saturday morning and a BBQ supper on Saturday night. Many prizes were given away (we only won a very, very small one but some of them were very large, including TV's, battery-operated scooters, trailer hitch, fenders from NASCAR Kurt Busch's car #2 Martin Truex's #1, and even a $500 shopping spree!) Maybe next year, we will be the lucky winner...Hmm, did I say that last year and the year before?
