Good News
We were happy to receive good news about Don's brother who had stints placed in his aorta. He came through fine but will be observed for a couple of days for wandering blood clots. He is such an active 80+ year old that I'm sure it helped the positive outcome of the procedure. He walks 6 miles a day and does 40 push-ups!!! I can barely do one push-up and struggle to walk a mile. He is amazing!
I have been busy trying to get things ready to go to the beach tomorrow. Don got the RV out and I have been busy getting food, clothes, etc. into the rig. Actually, we keep a lot of non-perishables in there so I only have to check to see what needs to be replenished. I'm looking forward to the trip but I do dread the heat we have been experiencing here in the South. This will be a short trip because we have 4 others already planned for the rest of the year, and we have at least 2 more to plan as well.
I spent yesterday with my older sister and we enjoyed going out to eat lunch, shopping at little at Target and Lowe's, and checking out the movies at the local theater (Nothing on but cartoons or trashy ones so we didn't go). We went back to her home and enjoyed her screened porch, a must for many folks who live in the South (Great protection from those aggravating mosquitoes)! What a nice, lazy experience to have! Swinging, reminiscing, and watching the traffic as people were getting off work and rushing to their homes so they, too, might enjoy a few minutes of "just a-swinging."
