Motor coach: the way to go!

I was very happy to see a couple of our friends from New York today. We always camp with them in Florida and they are passing through on their way back to Florida for 6 months. Actually, they are doing more than passing through. They decided to have some renovations done on their motor coach and that will take about a week so they plan to stick around here until next Friday. They are parked at my brother's home because he has a nice pad with 50 amp service, water, and even sewage. We don't have that set-up here though I would like to fix one so friends could stop by and spend a few days. We like this idea when we visit because you can stay in your own rig, do your own thing, and not put your host/hostess out. There are so many advantages to having motor coaches but this is one of the best. We always did this when we visited our friends in Indiana. We also did this when we visited our son and his family. It just makes it easier on everyone, us included: no packing of clothes; no making sure you have all your toiletries; no messing up someone else's bed and bath; no special meals to prepare; etc. etc. etc.

One of our friends is looking at new motor coaches. That's a bad sign because, too often, when one breaks down and buys a new rig, others seem to follow along. In other words, that can get to be rather expensive. We have looked at many new ones but so far, we have kept our heads and held on tightly to the pocketbooks! The new ones are absolutely gorgeous though. My brother had beautiful tile laid in his rig; that may keep him from buying a new rig this year. But, we don't even want to go that far right now.
