A Day for Blessings

Hubby had his follow-up appointment with his surgeon this morning. He told us that he was pleased with the progress his shoulder was making; however, he also warned him to be careful for the next month with his use of that arm. In fact, he is to continue wearing the sling even as he sleeps for another month. Doc wants to make sure that no additional surgery will be needed. Twice on the same shoulder is more than enough!

We enjoyed our lunch meal together afterwards. Anyone who know Hubby, knows that he seldom wants to go anywhere, especially out to eat. I have been surprised that he wanted to venture out for lunch following his morning doctor visits. Then, tonight, he suggested going out again! Surprised? I certainly am but, as always, I am ready to go out among the crowds. Once again we enjoyed an evening together before returning home to be bored during the presidential candidates' debate. I must say that I will be so happy when all of this is over and God will have His man in charge. He knows what our country needs and we need to let Him lead us forward. We need to pray that everyone will let Him guide us as we will soon be stepping into the voting booth.

I'm thankful for the blessings we have received today; good health, a watering of our earth, good friends, plenty of nourishment, and so much more. This has just been a day filled with blessings; nothing spectacular, just a day for blessings.
