Saying Goodby to Friends

The time has arrived that many snowbirds are heading North tomorrow. Some of our friends from Ohio are leaving in the morning; then, some other friends from North Carolina are leaving the next day. Because it is tax-paying time, some are leaving to get home in time to get their taxes done and mailed before the deadline. Others have sickness in their families; some have been here 3 months which was the length of their stay. There will probably be a mass exit next weekend and the next one as well. We now have more than 30 vacant sites in the RV park and that will increase this week. I imagine there will be a lot less at church in the morning due to the exit.

Tonight 9 of us went out to dinner together to bid our farewells to the ones leaving. I hate to see them go because we never know what each year will bring, whether some will be able to return. I pray that all will stay healthy and be able to make the trip South with all the other Snowbirds.
