Coming Home for Homecoming
This morning, we had several visitors who came back for our homecoming services. It was great seeing them as usual. Our lunchtime was fabulous with a lot of delicious home-cooked items. I think everyone enjoyed the meal and the fellowship. The sermon by our visiting minister was excellent as always. Tonight, our revival began and, once again, the visiting minister delivered a very inspiring sermon. My young friend, Charles, and I sat together and took notes. So many references were made that we had trouble keeping up at times.
We had a guest pianist and soloist who was also great. Tomorrow night, a choir from a nearby Methodist church will bring the special music.
Tomorrow, Hubby goes for physical therapy while I go to the audiologist, probably for my last visit for awhile. This is the last consultations that I will have before the hearing aids are mine permanently. I guess it's about time since it's been over a year, a much longer trial period than is usual. I think I will keep them though. They do help but not cure. I didn't have time to put them in this morning and I noticed how often I had to ask people to repeat what they were saying. They say it's better to get them before you really get bad and I guess that's what I have done. I am bad enough that I need something though. My friends are grateful for this, I am sure!
