A Song in my Heart

Today is a rainy day in many parts of the country, a windy day in some parts, a cold and snowy day in other parts, and a sunny day somewhere; however, no matter what kind of day it is in your area of the world, it is, or can be a beautiful day! Some of you may say "how is that possible? You don't know what I'm going through or what I'm having to endure and you are right about that. Yet, I can still say that it can be a beautiful day, at least in some way or ways. Are you alive? Do you have a spouse, children, parents or other family that you hold dear? Do you have a close friend? Do you have a caretaker or a physician on whom you can depend? Do you have a loyal pet (maybe not one so talented like the sick man had whose cat called 911 when he fell out of his wheel chair)? Don't we all have someone on whom we feel free to call on when we need them? And, we can all have God to call on if we want Him. Let these people, these things, these beliefs make 2006 a great year for us. When we are down, there is a song that I learned as a small child that always cheers me. My mom used to sing it and it makes a lot of sense. Maybe you know it, I cannot write the tune but here are the words:
