Countdown begins
I made a boo-boo this morning when I didn't ask the neighbor ladies to go with Etta and me to the big Beall's store. Actually, I didn't plan to ask them since I was going specifically to pick up a birthday gift for one of them and I figured it would be easier by myself. My sister-in-law, Etta, didn't really go with me to this store. I dropped her off at another store and then she walked down to where I was later after I had finished my shopping. My friend's birthday is today so I had no time to waste. I also didn't want to embarrass the other ladies because they are not in the habit of exchanging gifts with Rose and me. We always exchange gifts at Christmas and birthdays. One of the husbands has taken them down for their final shopping day there since Monday is the 10% off- day and for an extra 15% off everything for senior citizens.
This morning, at the shuffleboard courts, a snowbird fell and cracked his head pretty badly, so badly that they had to call the rescue squad. One usually doesn't think of such an accident playing the game of shuffleboard but this guy had some other serious problems. It's getting closer to leaving time; maybe that's why the accidents are getting more and more frequent. The countdown has begun: we only have 6 more days to enjoy this warm weather.
