First, I need to suggest that you flip over to my daughter's blog and see the portrait she has done of my granddaughter. I am so proud of her talents and am sure that you will agree that Kendra has artistic abilities (which I don't have, by the way). Scroll over to the side and find the link called, Kendra's Blog and click on that and see if you agree with me.
Today, I have tried to catch up on washing from our week away from home. Don couldn't believe that we had so many dirty clothes; however, I reminded him that we dirty clothes no matter where we are. I usually wash in the RV if we are gone more than a week but this time I didn't so I had more to wash.
I had a most unpleasant shock this morning when I received our electric bill. I shouldn't have been too shocked, however, since the bill last month was extremely outrageous! Something has to be wrong; our bill in July increased $240 over June's bill! Now, our August bill is $250 higher than June and that was with our being away 7 days! Don says the weather has been much hotter but I don't think so. The bill has never been anywhere near this high in our hottest months. I believe there is something wrong causing the increase (ie, faulty air conditioners, etc). I do know that one of our AC's was out for several months; therefore, the bill should be less, wouldn't you think? Anyway, I went around the house cutting off all electrical equipment that I possibly could and the TV's have been off almost all day (exception was for the news early this morning). I hope this will make a difference this month. After all, once again, we have been gone 8 days during this meter reading.
I have heard little of the 9/11 ceremonies taking place today, but in my heart I have felt much sadness for these families who lost loved ones on that day. I pray that God will keep our country safe today and every day. May we never forget that He holds us in His loving arms, that His Will shall be done in all things...May God Continue to Bless America.
