I Say...Deal!
Tonight I watched the show, "Deal or No Deal". What a frustrating program that can be! The contestant was doing absolutely great until close to the end of the show, then she started opening cases that contained the larger numbers. When they offered her over $400,000, I would have been awfully tempted to take that (I'm not much of a gambler). She continued but still left with a lot of money. We don't really know what we would do unless we were the contestant. When Howie asks them which case they would have opened next had they not made a deal, I wonder how many of them really know. I think I would be humming and hawing about it, would you? And for the six cases: I always play that on my computer but I wonder if NBC even considers my votes since I'm not dialing the 59595 and paying the $1.00 for each number. I doubt my numbers even show up at all. Why do I keep playing then, one may ask. I ask the same question. Perhaps I'm just dreaming as all of us do, that some day, some dollars will fall in our laps. You know, though, that the odds are against that ever happening. (Ach, sorry if I burst your bubble). I'm still hoping the odds will fall in my favor one of these days before I become too old to enjoy it.
