A Celebration??

This afternoon, we were invited to one of our RV friends where there will be another cookout. That's right, we will be having hamburgers and all the fixings tomorrow evening. Now, our "friends" keep telling us that this is a celebration in our honor, a celebration? Because we are leaving Tuesday morning? I think my feelings should be hurt; what do you think? I offered to furnish the box of kleenex because I'm sure that everyone will be in tears (heehee). They were really planning this cookout for next week instead but since we have to leave earlier than planned, they are moving the date up to include us. A celebration, indeed! I understand there should be about 17 to 20 friends invited. I have wonderful friends at home and I truly miss them, especially my family and church family; however, I think it's wonderful to be able to come down here and see so many good friends from all over the country. At church today, Pastor Jon prayed for all of us snowbirds who will be departing this week. There is usually a large number of RV's leaving the first of March. In fact, there are actually 4 sites available in the park tonight.

Tonight, our friends from Prince Edward Island treated us to a farewell dinner at a nearby restaurant. We really enjoyed the fellowship with them; they are a very nice couple. Don acts like he's ready to go home in a couple of weeks or so but he really does enjoy our friends. He also enjoys riding his bike and playing horseshoes with some of the guys on many afternoons. I think he will miss these things.

I will try to blog again tomorrow night. I never know what kind of setup we'll have at the next RV park but if possible, I will keep on blogging. Now, I have to get excited about the upcoming celebration.
