Let's Stay Awhile

Here are a couple photos of the Trinity Episcopal church and the fresco of "The Last Supper". We didn't think this church was quite as impressive as the other one. The photos are bit darker too. This church is located in Glendale Springs, NC, a nice little town with a really good restaurant called Bakery Cafe; it's small, not grand at all but the food is very good, especially their Black Angus burgers and their pastrami on homemade rye/pumpernickel bread with sauerkraut (according to Don, not to me because I don't like sauerkraut).

Today, if the restaurant is open, we plan to eat at Shatley Springs Restaurant which we have heard so much about although the reports have been both positive and negative. We'll give you our opinion soon we hope.It looks like the day will be a bit cool here but comfortable, around 70 I think. It's partly sunny, a good day to go sightseeing. Don wants to go antiquing I think.

We have decided to remain at this campground until we leave for home on Thursday. It's convenient, we have satellite, 50 amp service, full hookups, a view of the New River, and are settled in (it's beginning to feel a little like "home" even though the place is unfinished and we understand it has been this way since 2003!).
