Tarheel Proud!

I know it's late and I'm tired after having a very busy day; however, I had to stay up and watch my Tarheels as they now advance from the "Elite Eight" to the "Final Four" in the NCAA Basketball Tournament. After winning over Louisville, they will travel to San Antonio where they will meet the winner of the Kansas/Davidson game which is to be played tomorrow. I am a very proud Tarheel and Tarheel proud!

Today, we had our Scrap-a-thon to raise money for our Relay for Life team. We made somewhere between $300 and $400 and for that, we are very happy, especially since several of our people were unable to attend due to various reasons. This was the weekend immediately following Easter break and I feel that had a bearing on those not attending. Some were at the beach or other vacation spots; some were just tired after returning from vacation; some felt they had too much to do to get ready to go back to work; and, some had a death in their family and were unable to attend. We miss all of them and hope they will be able to attend our next one. We are talking about having another one soon without as much "fanfare" (for this one, we give door prizes, feed them breakfast and lunch, and give them favors at their table). The main thing is that we remember our loved ones who have experienced that awful disease and that we do our part to help find a cure.

Boots, I have been reading your blog and love hearing about your rv travels. That is the way to travel. We had a small motorhome, then a large travel trailer, then a mobile home at the beach. Now, we just hop into the car and take off.

I'll be checking back often. There's a lot of reading to catch up on.

p.s. I have two Macs and wouldn't go back to windows for anything!
