$3.75 and Rising!

Today is Friday, isn't it? I have been messed up all week with the days. I have been working on my Sunday School lesson since it's my Sunday to teach. I also fret over that because I'm always afraid I won't do a good job, that I won't reach the people, and I just don't think I'm a good-enough person to be teaching. The lessons have been very familiar, Joseph's time in Egypt; however, sometimes that makes the lessons more difficult to teach when everyone knows the story. I am working now on bringing it home to the members.

I had to ride to town today and I received quite a shock: the price of gasoline at one of the local mini-marts had been raised to $3.75/gallon! I had been accustomed to seeing $3.65 at most area places so that sent me into shock. On my way back home, I saw one station which had only raised its prices to $3.68; needless to say, I stopped and topped off my almost-full tank. I had recently received an email suggesting that I get my fuel in the early morning when the temperature is cooler and I would get more gas for my money. Don confirmed that theory for me. I was also told to fill up when the tank was no less than half full; also good advice. So, today, I followed those suggestions. The prices are continuing to soar! Oh, what will we do when the price reaches $10! One of my friends told me today to take a good hard look at her because when the fuel prices reach $10, she would never leave her home! Maybe all of these folks who are getting motorcycles are smarter than I thought (if we could just be assured of our safety, I might get on that bandwagon). My friend just returned from Italy, where she says the price is already $10/gallon where she was, and milk was the same price! I don't want to drive there!
