More Shoulder Surgery

Just wanted to bet on the blog to let my readers know that today has been another busy one in our household. My son-in-law had to undergo shoulder surgery today, the right one as did my hubby only 6 weeks ago. Both now have their arms in slings and will have to lean on each other I suppose. They get along so well; now, they're talking about making their PT and doctor visits together so they can share the rides (with me, mostly). He is doing fairly well but right now is still feeling the effects of the anesthesia; he's also on a pain drug, similar to morphene.

We kept the grandchildren night before last and all day yesterday (today they stayed with their other grandparents). The girl slept on a pallet while the boy got the bed; reason being, she tosses and tumbles a great deal. It was so funny to hear her yesterday morning telling about falling off her bed! I told her that must have been quite a scare since she had to fall so far--maybe 5 inches at most!! She is so eager to learn everything that her questions are non-stop. Of course, the boy asks a lot too but not like her. It's fun to have them around and they seemed to have enjoyed spending the night with us; I hope they will always want to spend that kind of time with us. But, wow, they just grow up too fast! Love and hold 'em while you can, I say.
