Glad every Morning

Another week is half over and the young people are glad of that; I know, because I remember when I was considered a young folk. I was always thrilled when Wednesday came knowing that it was hump day; then Thursday and Friday would be a breeze, comparatively speaking. I recall my parents saying, "You better watch what you are wishing for because, in essence, you are wishing your life away;." And, now I understand what they were trying to get me to see. I wouldn't dare wish for those things now. Even though I am ready to go when the time comes, I'm not wanting to leave this old world yet. Of course, God has his plan and I'm sticking to it. So, for all of you who are wishing the week to end, you may want to think again. Weekends, vacations, etc., are great but going back to work is just part of the plan. Retirement is wonderful: I love it, love it, love it; however, you know your days are shorter when you reach that stage. My point is: enjoy every day, work hard as is expected of you and enjoy the 8 hours; play hard and enjoy those days too. Just thank God for every day He lets you wake up in the morning; and, be glad.
