Belk Belted the Best!

My friend and I went in a nearby store today, one of the nationwide chain stores as a matter of fact, and it was playing only patriotic music! I was very impressed! I thought, I'll just go into several more shops in the strip mall to see if they were following suit. Of course not! I wanted to say something to the clerks but realized that they probably had nothing to do with the choice of music so I stayed quiet. Now that I'm back home, I regret that I didn't ask for the managers whom I could actually have encouraged them to get in sync with the day. Sometimes we really fail to speak up when we should; other days, I know we should keep quiet. I made a mistake today. It was early enough in the day that I could have made a difference. I will say this: I'm very impressed with Belk store! When this female singer began belting out a beautiful rendition of "America the Beautiful", I wanted to stand at attention! From now on, that store will get more of my business than they have in the past.
Today is the day to memorialize all of the fallen military men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. Maybe you think they were all strangers to you and that may be true; but, just imagine, you were a stranger to them too; yet, they gave their lives for you, for me. They believed in this country, our flag, our freedoms. Now, it's our turn to protect this country, our flag, our freedoms. What can you do? What can I do? We need to first thank God for these lives and, every day, we need to lift up our country to Him and seek His blessings.
