A Gift for Mommy from 2 Cuties
Tonight we kept the grandchildren while Mark took Kendra out for dinner and for a bit of shopping (she wanted to spend some of her birthday money from us). The children were so good. We had a great time playing. Clay wanted to go outside before dark and I told him it was cold out but he said, "Don't worry, MaBoo, we have coats and our coats will keep us warm. We won't get cold."
Later, we decided to wrap a gift for Mommy and to make her birthday cards. The wrapping they handled really well. Of course, they wanted a big red bow for the package. They decided they would hide from her and jump out and sing happy birthday to her; however, it was too long to wait so they continued their playing. When Mommy did come back, they gave her the gift, told her that it was a birthday present, and Clay said it's a new coffee cup (and it was, one from her alma mater). On their way out the door to go home, they began singing "happy birthday". We had a really good time and I'm going to miss those two playmates of mine!!
I wrote a pretty long blog for Kendra for her birthday but, so far, it hasn't shown up on my computer. Happy Birthday, Kendra! May you have many, many more!!!Q
