Healthy Snacks

Kendra came by the other day after taking the children to the dentist and told me that both of them had cavities. It seems that I am having to take a lot of the blame for this problem because I have given them unhealthy snacks. (Some of you know how it is being a grandparent: you want to make them happy and sugar can do that. Of course, there are others who like to treat children to not-the-best snacks). The dentist wants them to have only healthy snacks and I want to provide that kind. Doc says they should have little or no sticky candy, no hard candy, no lollipops, no jelly beans, no gummi bears, gum, and little sweets. If you have to give them sweets, make it something that will not linger on the teeth. When Clay and Livvy leave my house, they want a snack bag with just a little something in it to take home with them. I had been giving them maybe 4 jelly beans each in their bag. Now, I'm trying to think of healthy snacks to provide and I need help. I try to keep the cheese sticks handy but I need more ideas. Hmm...what kind of variety can I provide? Personally, I'm going to miss those gooood snacks myself!!
