Another week has passed since I blogged. It seems that I am just staying too busy to get on blogger; I'm trying to get as much in before we leave as possible and just neglect to write often. Having said that, I will try to write more often, even if it's just a couple of sentences.

Yesterday, we had a wedding in the park: one of the young ladies who works in the office decided to get married at the gazebo so that people in the park could enjoy the afternoon. Jill was a very lovely bride and her husband was quite handsome. Some of the ladies in the park baked the wedding cake while others decorated the area. They left the gazebo in green golf cart (for St Patrick's Day) pulling lots of noisy cans behind. Much of the day's events were shown on the local TV station.

Last night was a Bingo night; in our group, only my sister-in-law won one game.

Today we went to Okeechobee Lake and drove the many miles around it. We stopped along the way and observed the harvesting of a large sugar cane field. It was very interesting to learn that they harvest the cane, grind it and place it in cars similar to train cars. After that, the burn the fields and the sugar cane comes back. Evidently, the farms are owned by coops because they are huge.

All in all, this has been another good week, a bit cool today, however.
