An Hour of Disappointment
After American Idol was over last night, I planned to blog but the storm came about the same time. I was quite disappointed in all the contestants last night, especially Pickler and Paris. I really didn't like any of the songs that were chosen by the contestants to sing. Perhaps I was expecting much more, especially from a classical standpoint. Even the classic numbers they chose were not very classic in my opinion. Now I wonder who will get his or her walking papers. One of my friends think it will be Pickler since she has had 2 bad weeks; however, she is so loved by so many that I think she will stay on. I recall Simon saying once that he thought she was even better than last year's winner. I don't agree with that statement but she had been doing quite well. Paula thinks she should go I know but then Paula loves the guys, all of them. In fact, Hubby asked me what she was trying to prove with some of her bahavior toward the guys last night. She does seem to go a overboard...nuts, in other words. I hate to admit it, but I do think that Simon is the most honest of the three judges, and, in my view, the most correct. Now, I am not a connoiseur of great music or musicians so perhaps I should stay quiet. We'll see soon who will take the walk of shame; will it be Elliott...McPhee? Hmm...
