What day is Mother's Day?

Let me begin by saying that I hope all of you mothers out there had a great day yesterday; that your children were with you at least part of the day; and, that you received a wonderful gift. Well, about the gift: mine was not seen from my children. I did get some Happy Mother's Day cards but no gift such as some of you probably received. (I know my older sister received a DVD/VHS player from her children. My daughter made me a beautiful card and that was very special!) Yet, no one could have gotten a better gift. I had 2 of my children and 2 of my grandchildren present with me...now, what could beat that? And they all attended church with me, too, which made church even more beautiful and special. The only thing that could have made it better would have been my other 2 children present; however, I really do understand that they live farther away. My son in California did call and wished me a Happy Mother's Day and he is planning to come visit sometime this summer. I realize that he has to come at a different time and that's okay. After all, Mother's Day can be any day or everyday. And, my other daughter was just here the weekend before and then returned for her uncle's funeral as well.
So, what day is Mother's Day? It's whenever our children make a day special for us. As for me, I will take as many of these days as my 4 children want to give me! The more the merrier! That can be a phone call, a visit, a card for no reason, or any other surprise! Bring 'em on!... I'll take 'em!
