It's a Boy!

I heard that my niece, Joette, had a son, Thomas James, around 9:00 AM. He weighed 7 pounds, 10 oz. Both mom and son were doing fine. Daddy and sisters were very excited about the birth. Congratulations!! I pray that both will continue to do well and stay healthy.

The weather here in the Deep South has been beautiful today and tomorrow it's supposed to be warmer. The humidity is suppose to increase (that will make it feel warmer). Personally, I like it the way it's been: unseasonably cool. Everyone is happy that the weather is predicted to be great Saturday when the big parade will take place. It's so funny. When you drive down the main streets, you see chairs, areas taped off with names written on the sidewalk, and in some places makeshift bleachers. I wonder why people don't steal this stuff; however, I haven't heard of any problems. People started putting their things out last Sunday! By Saturday, one will be lucky to find a place to stand. Last year, we found a nice place at the marina to view this beautiful Edison Parade of Lights but this year, they are changing the route and it will not go that way. I don't know what we'll do this year.

Until next time.
