Get off my behind & off your horn

Sorry I'm late tonight with a blog but we have spent several hours in the streets today. After my exercising and cycling, 4 of us rode the route for the Festival of Lights Grand Parade which takes place tomorrow night beginning at 7:00 PM. It is quite a spectacular parade to see, especially live because you can get the full effect that way. Anyway, we wanted to check it out for parking places. Many of the streets will be blocked so we wanted to ensure that we wouldn't get in a compromising position with all the traffic they are expecting after 5:00PM.

One of my pet peeves is impatient drivers who want to drive faster than is reasonable and then they want to blow you off the streets! I slowed down as I came up on an intersection where I had to make a turn. Some lady (I use the term with question) drove up on my behind, gave me the ugly finger sign, shook her fist at me, and sat down on her horn! I was going the speed limit, not above it as she preferred (and she had small children in the car with her and she sped by me!) You know, they are the ones who never get caught by the law. I know it's wrong to wish for them to have to pay the piper, but this thing with "road rage" is awful! I don't know how to handle it and I wonder if anyone does. I'm not a driver who pokes along, weaves in my lane, pulls out in front of others and turns off, change lanes in front of traffic. I have always been considered a good driver, have even won a county school bus rodeo, and I drive a 38 foot motorcoach (I'm not bragging and hope that I don't have any accidents). How does one handle road rage or impatient, rude drivers? Got suggestions?
