For You Frannie

This has been a great trip for Hubby and me. First, we enjoyed the Ohio Amish country with my sister and brother-in-law for 2 days. Then, we traveled to Delphos,OH, for my great nephew's wedding. While there, we enjoyed spending time with brothers, sister, nieces, nephews and other friends; the rehearsal dinner was wonderful and the wedding reception was very elegant. Following all of that, we attended the wedding dance until 10 PM.

On Sunday, we left for Elkhart, IN. We enjoyed touring the Indiana Amish country with brother and his wife, taking an afternoon trip with sister and brother in law, and eating the famous Amish meals.

On Tuesday, Hubby and I left for Muskegon, MI, while my 2 brothers and sister traveled their separate ways: one to Indianapolis and one to Cincinnati. We enjoyed spending a lot of time with my friend Kathy and her husband. What wonderful hostess she is! I also made new friends, Shirlie and Coral, friends of Kathy. They are all quilters and have such a great ministry with their Quilts of Valor. We stayed in MI until Sunday and we returned to Elkhart to get work done on the RV. Then we moved to Shipshewana, IN and enjoyed the Amish flea markets, the shops, and the meals, especially the Essenhaus Restaurant (highly recommended).

On Friday, we returned to Berlin, Ohio where we stayed until Monday, Aug. 23. I think we must have ridden every backroad there! We had so much fun here and the Scenic Hills RV Park was great! We plan to return there and stay at least a week.

On Monday, we left for Wyethville, VA for the night. On Tuesday we will visit friends in Saluda, NC.

Our trip has almost come to an end but I will never forget how special this time has been. Spending time with Kathy proved to be a wonderful experience; she is truly a wonderful lady, a dedicated wife, and a caring friend. I wish for everyone such a friendship. I have other friends too whom I love dearly and I thank God for each and every one of you!
