Back in Gear I Hope
If things could go wrong they will seem to do so at a most inconvenient time; however, everything is working out fine now. Today, I have been busy preparing food for the reunion tomorrow (all of that went fine). Then I had to run to the florist and pick up some flowers for those who have lost loved ones this year. I decided to purchase some of the most gorgeous roses, a beautiful peachy color. Problem was, they decided to open their petals too much too soon. By tonight, their petals were curling! That's right! And I had them in water as the florist had suggested (I was doing everything right). At 8:30 PM, I decided I had better do something or we would have roses with few petals by 1:00 PM tomorrow. I talked to my sister-in-law and we decided a trip to Wally World would be the only thing we could do at such a late hour. But, first, I decided to call the florist just to see if I could get a response. What do you know! They had an emergency number to call. We decided this was, or at least was getting closer to an emergency so I called her. She immediately said that she would meet me at the shop in half an hour. I was to bring the roses for her to see. When she saw them she did agree that their life of beauty was short-lived indeed! We than decided to play it safe for tomorrow, so she gave me beautiful purple carnations instead (I was afraid to get any more roses). I was also given the tired roses back and told to enjoy their dying moments. (I did!) Now, I'm finally ready with all last-minute things accomplished for the reunion. I only found one error in the 15-minute DVD that we made so I will try to get that corrected this week, but not for tomorrow! Everything else seems to be on go...finally! I am about tired of this. Perhaps I can get my brain back in gear now. I just must get out of neutral!!
