How much is enough?

The work is now beginning. 6 of us held our first planning meeting for our 50th class reunion. This will be a chore but I look forward to having a great time next September. That gives us a lot of time to plan for this reunion. If you have any good ideas for something to include which will make it special, please comment.

The lottery has been won by a bunch of "cheesies" I understand. I ask myself what I would do if I were fortunate enough to come across a million dollars after taxes. That's a tough one because I understand everyone would be receiving calls from people begging for some of it. After much thought, I think I would like my expenditures up this way: (1) Give my tenth to the church (if they would accept it under the circumstances); (2), Give our of my 4 children $100,000 to go to help them as they see fit; (3) Save $300,00 for Hubby and my future needs; (4) Try to determine those in greatest need to assist with the remaining $200,000. You know, I don't know why people even dream this way because acquiring such large sums of money is remote for most of us. Yet, it is a fun thing to do, don't you think (I would be interested to see what some of you would say to this question)? Money doesn't make you happy; however, the good things one could do with it could certainly spread a lot of joy. I never understood why there are jackpots involving millions and millions. Why not split them into small amounts and spread a lot more joy around? How much is enough? Couldn't we be satisfied with a little bit? I think I could. Watching Deal or No Deal this week and last week, I noticed how some were happy with a little while some really took big chances to get to the big bucks. Hmm...where would you stop and make a deal? I think I would be one of the "chickens" but I wouldn't mind finding out.
