A Lick and a Promise!

I'm going to try to get through this blog before Mr. Netscape decides to shut down again. This has happened to me about 8 times so far today. I cannot get through reading my mail, reading my favorite blogs, or blogging before everything disappears. I know, I know, I need a new computer but I just don't want to fork out the money for a new one right now. I am so used to this one, I'm not sure that I'm literate enough to even learn how to use another.

Don has been gone to visit his brother today so I decided that I wanted to get some exercise outside (that's unusual for me). I decided to wash our SUV, or the little car, as Don calls it. When I began washing it, I realized that name is incorrect. I cannot even stand on the running board and reach the roof! (This is a Ford Escape I'm talking about too!). I'm very short so I did the best I could with the few inches I have and, as my mom always said, "Give it a good lick and a promise", so that's what I did. It looks pretty good but the main thing is that I got some much-needed exercise. Tomorrow, I attend my third Diabetes class and they will be talking about exercise (Bring it on; I'm ready).

Did you watch the Ellen Degeneres Show today? Even though I personally don't agree with her lifestyle, I do like her show. This morning she went through the audience and took everyone's cell phone from them, laid them out on a table, and throughout her show, when a phone rang, she would answer it. She was upset because California came in second (Florida was first) in the use of cell phones so she was doing something about it! I don't know how she comes up with all of her foolishness but I think she's a hoot! And, most importantly, there is nothing like a good laugh to get your morning going for you. I have found that when I laugh I feel better all day. Make me laugh.
