You're Too late, Mr. Adjuster
What a beautiful day in the South! The sun was bright, yet the temperature was a pleasant 72 degrees. I loved it!
This morning while Don was visiting with his brother, the insurance adjuster finally called about the RV dents after we waited 8 days to hear from him. We were told last Wednesday that the adjuster would be contacting us within 2-4 days. Yesterday, Don spent most of the day talking with the insurance people. Since we had heard nothing, the big boss told Don to go ahead and get the parts he needed, have the repairs done, and send him the bills. When the adjuster called this morning, he told me his name and asked where I lived; I, in turn, asked him who wanted to know. Then he told me he was our adjuster and would be by in an hour. I informed him that his boss had told us what to do and send everything to him. Mr. A. then said that he never received the word to act as our adjuster until today. Funny, his boss informed us last Thursday of this decision. Even his boss couldn't find him all day yesterday; sounds fishy to me. Mr A seemed relieved not to have to come by but still insisted that we send him the paperwork but I continued to refuse saying that his boss had not told us to do something different. We don't think he should get credit for doing something which he had no part in. What do you think? My guess is that we will hear nothing else from him unless he hears that we sent the paperwork somewhere else and he won't get his "due" from it. One has to work to get what is due you; that's what I say. It's not in our plan to feed him steak when he didin't even work for a hamburger. Does that sound cruel?
